"They are married!!"

My warmest congratulations to Phyllis Lyon & Del Martin on their marriage!

And the warmest well-wishes to the women and men tying the knot the coming days!

I think the New York Times managed to get the loveliest picture taken by Jim Wilson from Phyllis' and Del's marriage - to me a new icon of love: the two elderly women, just married by the young (and handsome - plus newly wed!) Gavin Newsome, in front of the wedding cake showing them in a picture some fifty years ago:

Outside, witht the cheering crowds, were some Christian(?) people that shouted out their dismay, but also gave extremely well-described scenes and practices from pornography. I can only wonder what they are messing with during mass... Even when a person had a cardiac arrest behind them they continued their awful shoutings.
