Marriage Stuff

Marriage Stuff

So, the decision by the Supreme Court has created a lot of up-stir the last week; the stores in the Castro are filled with offerings to cater at weddings, taking photos, hosting parties.

At HRC shop, they have started selling t-shirts with marriage themes (yes, my EuroPride parade t-shirt is set!), but also other more or less well-done stuff. This one was a fun idea - but not well performed: those things you got as a kid, where you could have Santa being out in the snowflakes when you shook the container. Instead of Santa, in these there are same-sex couples supposedly outside the City Hall. And instead of snow it was either rice - or rose-leaves (my partner's favorite shot).

The idea of same-sex marriage is still debated and the ones contesting it are doing everything they can to prevent it from happening. [SF Chronicle]
