The day of silence

Today was the Day of Silence that is a way to bring attention to how LGBT people are silenced and not heard. The event for this year commemorates the life of Lawrence King who was killed by a class mate here in CA.

In the Castro, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were out and participated. It was strong to see them standing at the corner of Castro & Market streets with a sign around their necks with their oats of silence.
