Semla

But this will not be on the menu of yours truly since I am starting on week two on the South Beach diet. And to say that a semla is a "carb bomb" would be an understatement to say the least!

Tomorrow lent starts with Ash Wednesday.

• Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast and abstinence from meat. There is a limit of one full meal on those days for all between the ages of 18 and 59 inclusive.
• Days of Abstinence: (all Fridays of Lent) All who have reached their 14th year are bound to abstain totally from meat.
