Sicko - the Lived Experience, Pt 2

It is here, the bill for my hospital stay. Yesterday, an itemized bill appeared at my door. In one way I am a bit disappointment: just two pages!

But yes, each little Tylenol is there - for $0.46 (for two). My million-dollar-view suite was the second largest cost: $4,633 for one day (largest was the CT scans). It was semi-private - i.e. a shared room. Hmmm, I wonder what a room at a five-star hotel had costed.

My visit to the ER was $1,317 - I'll remember that when I am back on the floor at home... Money mouth

I am, however, fortunate enough to have a health insurance that covered all the fees.

With the same postal delivery was a note about a referral to urology. My initial reading is that I shall make an appointment with Dr Bad Cop... But it can be a misspelling of names, so perhaps I am to meet a very charming and sensitive doctor? If not, I'll ask to get someone else. Dr Bad Cop wearing rubber gloves, still lingers on my retina...
