It is the time of the year when there is a certain frenzy gripping people in the United States now: Thanksgiving. People are either travelling cross-country for dear money to be able to spend time with family and friends, or gather up with friends/class mates etc for celebrating the "turkey day". If one happens to be the cook of the house, there is the idea to make the Perfect Dinner; the turkey, sweet potatoes, haris coverts, mashed potatoes, stuffing, pumpkin pie, cranberries etc...
The lazy/the ones that can afford it use catering or buy from stores. Or arrange potlucks...
The holiday is to celebrate that the Native Americans were kind enough to care for the Pilgrims when they came to America in the 17th century. Helped them sow and get food for the coming year till the pilgrims had their own harvest. In retrospect, I think the Native Americans wish they had not...
During the depression in the 1930s Thanksgiving became a public holiday. Since 1947 the President receives a turkey that is "pardoned".

We are invited to a class mate in Berkeley and her friends. We are really looking forward to this since my class mate is a stellar cook.
And I cannot help but share this turkey cook... He is in AZ so I doubt he'll be serving tomorrow...
