Halloween

House on Noe Street

Since the day I got here people have talked about  Halloween, especially in the Castro. My friends have given me the impression that it is something in one way fun with all the costumes, but it can also be dangerous. Yesterday it was the day...

It is of course more than just cutting a Jack O'Lantern

Especially if you are to do it very elaborately!

The celebrations this year did - apparently like last year - end with a foul taste with nine people shot in the area and more injured. One of the men living in the Castro gives his impressions and feelings here (Completely naked.org). I was not there. I was very discouraged to go by my friends, and it was - unfortunately - not just the horrors of the Halloween that was the case...

Trick or treat..?
